 One fires bullets at a high rate of speed, similar to a minigun. The other shoots powerful single shots, similar to a rifle sniper. Target the sniper-specific variant, since only it has a chance of dropping Sentinel Firing Cores.

As the Research & Administration entry is a common central point on maps, start there and then head north toward the Breach area and Floodgates.  Sentinel ARCs are spawned in two different places on the Buried-City map. Here are their locations:
